How to get to Cividale

Cividale del Friuli is a town in the province of Udine, 100 km North-East of Venice (Italy). It has been founded in 50 a. C. by Julius Caesar and called Forum Julii. The historical and artistic heritage of Cividale is world famous : The National Archaeological Museum, which hosts the most important collection of remnants from the Longbards' Kingdom (V-VIII century); the Ipogeo Celtico; the Oratorio of Santa Maria in Valle (with the famous Tempietto Longobardo); the Duomo (XV-XVI century); the Palace of Provveditori Veneti (XVI century). The Christian Museum hosts the Baptistry of Callisto (VIII century) and the Ara of Ratchis (VIII century). Besides, the Devil's Bridge provides a great view on the Natisone river.
